Your Podiatry Appointment-What to expect?
Let's make your first podiatry visit as easy as possible!
Greeting: Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our friendly team who will assist you to prepare for your appointment. This may include completing a new patient form to tell us about your medical history and medications.
Your Story: Your podiatrist will start by taking a thorough history including your current issue, medical history, concerns, any exercise or activity that you participate in, orthotic history and goals.
Examination and Assessment: Your podiatrist will then perform a thorough assessment of your feet and legs. We have many tests and diagnostic equipment if further investigation for any foot health concern is needed.
Diagnosis: We will then focus on the problem you have described, providing you with a diagnosis and if necessary refer you for further investigations, such as an ultrasound or X-ray to gain clarity if any concerns.
Tailored Management Plan: You will be provided with a detailed treatment plan that includes diagnosis, causative factors to your pain, management strategies, goals, education, and a timeframe which acts to help you achieve optimal foot and lower limb health.
Duration: Initial appointments are forty-five minutes in duration giving your podiatrist ample opportunity to get to know you and your feet.
Track your findings: Throughout your care, we monitor your progress and provide updated recommendations so you can continue to achieve your health goals.
